Starting 03/30/2010, Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce a new software update for the DROID by Motorola. Users will be able to upgrade their software to version AP: ESE81/BP: C_01.3E.03P to receive new improvements and enhancements.

o An OTA download requires 40% or more power availability if
the device is not connected to an external power source or
20% or more power if it is connected to an external source
o If roaming, the customer will not receive the update. The
only option in this scenario is for the subscriber to enable
Wi-Fi and wait for a mandatory OTA. The wait period in this
case will not be more than 12 hours
o User must wait to receive the upgrade via OTA

Dell is no stranger to dipping there toes in the Cell Phone Market place. They have tried break into other gadget markets in the past with some success. Dell Cameras, MP3 Players and TV. They still have these products, but vthey are more of a supplimentary product.
Does anyony remember when a Dell PC or Laptop was a great machine, but you coulndt get customer service if your life depended on it.
Dell took steps to improve the customer service end of the business, but could do more. Two friends of ours just had a bad experiance with dell. One friend recieved a machine that needed windows reinstalled because the laptop kept crashing from day one, and the other would not even start up properly from the first day.
It'sofficial. Dell is entering the Smartphone market. And why not. The Smartphone market is expected to only grow as currant users spread the word.
Dell confirmed plans to enter the smart phone business and announced partnerships with two of the world’s largest mobile operators.

Dell plans to distribute its new Mini 3 smart phones through China Mobile, the largest telecommunications company in the world with more than 500 million customers, and Claro, which serves more than 42 million people in Brazil as part of the America Movil network.

Entry into the smart phone category reflects Dell’s continued expansion into mobile internet products and services through value-added relationships with leading operators. Earlier this year Dell was the first mobile PC manufacturer to embed China Mobile’s 3G technology and services into its netbooks and quickly became the leading seller of netbooks through retail outlets in China. In addition Dell has existing agreements with other leading global telecom providers, including Vodafone in Europe; Australia/New Zealand, AT&T and Verizon in the U.S.; M1 and Starhub in Singapore; and Maxis in Malaysia, creating more opportunities to meet the needs of a connected lifestyle.
